We went to the dealership yesterday to buy out the lease of my wife’s car. After a couple of hours (ugh) at the dealership, we finally hauled ass out of there as owners of her sweet ass ride. When I drove that car off the lot it felt different. It now looks different. I feel more connected to it now. It’s weird to say but I care more about it now. The ownership is real. Cuz, we all know… “beat the crap out of a lease and then get a new one” is kind of our culture. So are you leasing your life during these weird times? Waiting for the new model to come out to really start living? Stop leasing and buy. It’s time to sign on the dotted line and own this em effer! The “waiting it out” clause is hidden deep in your lease contract with yourself and is meant to keep you just happy enough to sit and do nothing until something better comes along. Today is just as valuable as next year. OWN IT! By the way, we bought her 2017 because we test drove the 2020 and it blew. The new model is not always the best. Drive what you got.
